Sometimes people want something so badly that they convince hem selves that it’s “God’s will” for them and they find a scripture reference that can seemingly support it. Sometimes entire movements or cults are the result of such beliefs. Never forget that when Jesus was in the wilderness after fasting for 40 days, the devil used scripture to tempt Him.
