It’s opening your heart to the one who is in front of you and being patient, kind, unselfish, and humble - even if they aren’t acting like that in return. It can be awkward and clumsy, but if you do it with a loving spirit - then it’s salt and light to the other person. This is true even if you don’t get to see it; even if the other person responds rudely.
Your loving words and actions aren’t worthless - they plant seeds.
