It’s been a long year!
Many of us are weary - not just weary of Zoom, or Social distancing or wearing masks - but weary of the level of vigilance we’ve been living with.
This vigilance is interesting to me because it’s against an unseen enemy. How many of us have been this vigilant against the unseen enemy we all must contend with, the devil?
“ Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” 1 Peter 5:8
I don’t think we take this seriously enough - the devil is very busy in the church. He is sowing seeds of discord and disunity, fear, disobedience, doubt and apathy. When these don’t work, he tries to distract us from the callings and purposes of God.
