This is the crux of true faith - knowing that God can, but knowing that He is still wise, good and loving if He doesn’t do the thing you’ve asked. God is always good, even when bad things happen to good people, He promises to work everything to good for those who love Him and follow Him. I have definitely witnessed this, but even if I hadn’t, I believe. God is good.
This is also a great witness, after all it was what Shadrack, Meshack and Abednego said to King Nebuchadnezzar before he threw them into the fiery furnace. Now, the Lord did deliver them magnificently and miraculously, but if He hadn’t their faith would still have been on full display.
