I think we naturally avoid the pain of transformation, but God created life to transform. We are beautifully and wonderfully made to be and do all the God has destined for each of us. Many times difficult situations are for our growth, to deepen our faith, to bring us closer to God, and get us ready for what’s coming next.
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.”
Romans 12:2 ESV
I pray that we will all learn from and grow closer to God in whatever trial or season we’re currently in.
There are seasons in the life of plants and animals, and there are seasons in our lives too - but for us they’re a little different. Childhood, adulthood, single, married, parent, empty-nester, grandparent, elderly are some of the seasons we face. Many of us don’t want to move into a new season and try to hold on to the old one.
