I’ve been writing about prayer lately because I’ve been seeking a deeper relationship and connection with my Lord - and that comes through prayer. As I work on it, and it does take work, effort, to deepen this relationship- just like it does with any human ones. I think most people are expecting God to do most of that work, while He is waiting for us to “come to Him.”
A big part of prayer for me is turning down the noise of this world and of my own thoughts and concerns. I start by giving them to Him, praying though them - and then I can move past them to actually connect with Him and His Spirit. It’s a process that takes some time and effort.
