You know those people who always get their jabs in or are sarcastic? Some people think it’s funny or at least, that they are trying to be funny. But sarcasm is meant to wound others - to hurt them, not to amuse them.
If someone is always kinda mean and hurtful, or even downright hateful, remember this: Hurting people, hurt people. Their pain comes out in their actions and words. It’s hard to look past that - but Jesus was great at it. That means we should try - try to find out what pain is at the root of their bitterness, try to show them kindness in subtle ways, try to actually love them.
