I talk to a lot of Christians who struggle with this. They believe that their sin can disqualify them from God’s seal of salvation and undo it. But that’s not what God says. He says that nothing can separate you from Him. He says that you are His child and that He covers your sins with grace! You just aren’t that powerful...even when you sin. We are warned not to take this grace for granted as an excuse to sin... but not because God won’t love us anymore, but because God will allow us to experience the consequences of our sins even while He forgives us for them.
