Too many times, we forget this. We think God can lose a battle when one of His own children is involved. But He cannot and He does not. Even when someone dies, though we experience it as a loss, God and His child experience it as joy!
Spiritual warfare is a real thing - the devil IS trying to steal, kill and destroy. Satan can’t have you, but he tries to muffle your influence as a Christian. He works to distract you from the calling and purposes of God in your life. He sows seeds of doubt about your gifts, talents and voice. He is at work to destroy relationships, ministries and love. And every day, he will try to take your peace. That’s why God gives us peace that surpasses all understanding - we just have to fight the devil for it sometimes - knowing that God always ultimately wins.
