Let’s not be typical. It makes me truly sad when I think of so many believers who don’t pursue all that God has for them - So many unfulfilled promises and so much unclaimed joy!
I hope that when I come to the end of my life that I have not only fulfilled God’s many purposes for my life, but that I have loved Him back extravagantly. I pray that my communication with Him is intimate and effective, that my worship brings Him glory and that my life is joyful. That joy being not only to enrich mine and my family’s lives, but others - because the joy of the Lord is contagious and it’s inspiring to others, it helps spread courage and gives strength. I think it puts a smile on God’s face too - just like us when we see joy in our children.
