Needs

For years, I really struggled with this concept. When we would sing about it in Worship Services, I would think about my exceptions to this - “I also need ______ Lord. You know I really do.” But I didn’t need whatever it was even though it was always a good thing, like healing in my marriage or food on the table.

As my faith has grown and my relationship with my Lord has deepened, I can honestly say He is all I need. He takes amazing care of me and provides for my other needs because I put Him first and nothing else matters without Him first.

You, Lord, are all I have, and you give me all I need; my future is in your hands. How wonderful are your gifts to me; how good they are! I praise the Lord, because he guides me, and in the night my conscience warns me. I am always aware of the Lord's presence; he is near, and nothing can shake me. And so I am thankful and glad, and I feel completely secure” Psalm 16:5-9
