Now more than ever, we need both mercy and grace. Not just towards those we’re locked down with - although we may need to show extra patience, mercy and grace towards them - but for ourselves.
I tend to be pretty hard on myself. I have lofty goals and high expectations, and I don’t always succeed, and sometimes I’m just plain grouchy. I am learning to just admit it, look to the Lord and try again. I have stopped beating myself up for my shortcomings and give myself some mercy and even some grace.
