Being a peace maker is very misunderstood. It isn’t smoothing everything over when feathers get ruffled or calming people down who are fighting.
Peace is not the absence of conflict. Peace is loving, serving and being reconciled to people in spite of it.
One way of making peace is being someone who will do this and creating an environment where others do it. Another way is to protest against injustice, but protest peacefully. The best example of this I’ve ever seen is Martin Luther King Jr.
