Kindness

I don’t know when it happened, but somehow Americans seem to have forgotten how to disagree with people in a civil and kind manner - and sadly, this includes Christians.

Now, it seems that if you disagree with someone, they are no longer your friend. Furthermore we say stuff in social media that basically says “Everyone who believes - fill-in-the-blank - is stupid/racist/bad American/enemy....” then these folks go church or hang out with their friends and congratulate themselves for their superiority while criticizing all those who don’t agree with them and calling them names. How does this represent God?

No matter what, there is no excuse for not showing kindness to our neighbors, and especially our brothers and sisters in Christ. After all, we are commanded to love them as ourselves.

“Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith.” Galatians 6:10
