What is justice to you? Do you think it’s like what God wants? Is it based on only a person’s actions? …or their intentions? …or do you just want to see people pay for what they’ve done - “an eye for an eye” kind of thing?
Jesus came to show us something different than - to teach us how to give grace, respond with kindness and compassion, and to forgive. Doing all of that doesn’t stop justice - it just puts it all in God’s hands instead of our own - because no matter how right we are, we are not righteous without Gods gift. It’s ultimately an act of faith to trust Him to dispense justice and to pray that He will be merciful- not just to them, but to us…
