This is a picture of the wilderness in Israel. This is where Jesus and Paul fasted and sought God before starting their ministries. It’s where David, Elijah and Elisha hid, “a dry and thirst land where there is no water.” To say that it’s empty or desolate is an understatement, the nothingness goes on further than you can see.
But, whether it’s a physical wilderness or, more commonly, an emotional or spiritual wasteland you’re enduring, turn to God. Ask Him to show you who He is rather than limiting Him in your thoughts, prayers and faith. He’s much more than we can ask or imagine, and He is with you wherever you are. He wants to be strong on your behalf, He wants you to see Him at work in and through you.
