It surprises me how easy it is for us to doubt God’s Word. To waver in our belief that He is always good and that He is always on our side. He is also always opposed to sin, so when we are going down a path to destruction, our Lord is fighting for us, but against our sin - but He won’t stop us. We always get to choose.
Our friends and families, our leaders and mentors will always make mistakes. Sometimes they are on their own path of selfishness and destruction. It’s good to seek wise counsel as long as our ultimate last word comes from God. We can and should trust God with everything, for He alone is worthy of our trust.
