Perspective makes all the difference. As a child of God, I am His and He is mine. Isaiah 43:1 says that God has called us by our name and that we are His. Philippians 3:20 tells us that we are indeed citizens of heaven.
Have you thought of yourself this way? When we received Christ’s redemption, we weren’t just saved from death and hell, we were adopted by God and made heirs with Christ. We are sons and daughters of God. We don’t just carry the blessings of God, we carry His mission too - we are representing Him every day as a foreigner in a hostile land. What do people see when they are you? What do people think of your God when they are around you?
