Great question!
Often we think of obedience in a negative light—we’re giving up something that we want because someone else is telling us “NO!”
But obedience to God is different. He has definitely laid down the law with plenty of “Thou shalt nots,” but He with them He has given us a grace-filled path of fulfillment and blessing, a well of infinite wisdom and unconditional love and forgiveness. When we choose this path, we choose HIS will over our own selfish one, and we enter into His flow of blessing—we walk WITH God.
