Pride is a very sneaky little vice - sometimes it comes up within us when we aren’t aware and nudges us. Pride tries to get us to think more highly of ourselves than we ought. Humility is knowing our place.
I believe humility is often misunderstood - sometimes this is a direct result of Satan whispering prideful words to us, but other times, it’s our upbringing or our own sinful nature. Humility is knowing that you’re a child of the most high God, but that in your humanity, you are vulnerable. Admitting that we need help and protection from evil is humility - thinking that you know what you need to know to fight the battle of faith, is prideful. Knowing that you are called and chosen by God and given certain gifts for that purpose is humble, trusting in your ability to use those gifts instead of letting God dictate, is prideful.
