Do you trust God? Do you have limits on how much you trust Him, though? I know a bunch of Christians who only trust “God in a box.” Meaning, they only trust God to operate within a set of rules and expectations dictated by them, not by God. They want to feel more like they’re in control of the situation—even of God’s response. God has NO limitations. This is hard for us to comprehend and impossible to control. God is in control and we are not. But, He gave us Holy Spirit to l
Sometimes I get really frustrated or worried about circumstances... usually it’s because I’ve forgotten that I am filled with the all-powerful and all-wise Holy Spirit, who loves me and fiercely fights on my behalf when I trust Him. He isn’t a super hero, but He can do mighty miracles when my faith is aligned with Gods will. I’ve seen it many times. I don’t doubt it, at all. God has never let me down, even when He doesn’t give me what I think I want. He is always protecting m
“For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” James 1:3-4 We have survived EVERY trial, tragedy, journey and affliction we have faced in our lives so far. We thought many of them would break us, but they made us stronger. Hopefully, they caused us to lean more on God and less on ourselves - the more we do that, the easier it is.
Romans 8:28 tells us that God will bring something good out of the storms that bring devestation to our lives. Storms have a way of exposing things that are covered up. They are a part of life that brings stuff to the surface that you might not want to admit are there. We cover them up and bury them in our hearts, but God wants to uncover them, deal with them and ultimately heal them. Don’t be afraid of this process. It’s totally worth it and it’s very good! The things we are
When we actually place our hope in the Lord, everything changes even though no one can see it. This is because WE change...deep inside. God gives us vision to see what is the hope of our calling, how to find joy in the journey and more of the big picture - like an eagle can see. This hope gives us the motivation to run the crazy race and to walk through adversity without losing our strength and our will, because we know why we’re doing it and Who we’re doing it for - and that
Hope. Sometimes all we have left is hope - but hope placed on our Good Father, our all-powerful God is enough. The first part of this verse is about how God gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Now we learn that He give strength to those who place their hope in Him - not in other people, not in circumstances, not in our own abilities, but in Him. Where is your hope? #hopeingod #goodgoodfather #godwillrenewyourstrength #powerofgod #awesomegod #walkinthespirit
We all know how it feels to be weak and tired... To feel powerless. And yet, if we just seek God, believe His promises and pray in faith - He will fill us with strength and give us the power we need. God will freshly fill you with His Holy Spirit, who is powerful beyond measure and has eternal strength. When we try to do things on our own and take matters into our own hands, we aren’t tapping into this strength and power. #behumble #godsgotthis #powerofgod #faith #prayer #tru
Fear. I’ve heard some preach that fear is False Evidence Appearing Real. The thing is, fear IS real. It is a force we battle and that we need. We should have a healthy fear of the consequences of bad decisions- and we should instill that healthy fear into our children. However, one thing I’ve learned is that faith in God overcomes all my fears. Even when I’m full of sorrow or frustration, turning to my Father who is still the King of the Universe and who has a destiny and pur
God doesn’t want you to carry heavy burdens, He isn’t interested in how “strong” you can be. You don’t have anything to prove. He wants you to give those heavy concerns, the worries and the sorrows to Him. He may not remove them, but He will carry them with you. When He does this it’s like when a daddy carries something with His child - He bears almost all of the weight and the child has just enough to know that there is something there. God goes further though, He keeps us f
“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6 ESV Praise the Lord for this! He saved us and continues to work in us, around us and through us to help us grow and become closer to Him. He covers us with His grace because He knows and understands our humanity and mistakes. We can resist Him, but that doesn’t change His faithfulness, His love for us, or His perseverance in helping us.
Oh Lord, I thank you for the morning. I thank you for your new mercies. I thank you for your unfailing faithfulness. And, above all, I thank you for your continual, unchanging, steadfast love. Everyday, when we wake up - whether it was a good sleep or not - we are covered with the love and mercy of our Father God who loves us without condition. Let that permeate your thoughts today. No matter what, God IS faithful. He was faithful. He will be faithful. He will ALWAYS keep His
It takes great faith to BE STILL this way.
It means that you trust God to be and to do all that He has promised.
It means that you’re taking time to listen to His voice and to follow where He leads.
It doesn’t mean that you do nothing, just that you don’t do things out of fear - that what you do is what God has purposes for you to do. Following God is not passive. Being still is purposeful.

This comforts me so!!! Everything around us is constantly changing - some for the better some for the worse. Everyday, something or someone you expected to be a certain way, won’t be that way any more. You may have been counting on it too, or maybe it doesn’t effect you very much - but it’s different. God never changes! His Word to us never changes. He doesn’t change His mind about us. He is always faithful even when we aren’t. He doesn’t leave us when things get messy and di
